Job Title: Pilot
The primary function of this role will be directly responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the aircraft for each assigned flight.
Essential Duties / Responsibilities:

Responsible for safe transport of S.A. Comunale Co., Inc. personnel.
Ensure the aircraft meets performance for airworthiness, research current weather, and calculates/files instrument flight rules (IFR) flight plans.
Perform a visual pre-flight (walk-around) inspection prior to each flight and after each flight.
Act as a pilot in command (PIC) of flights for which the pilot has been scheduled.
Maintains a culture of safety with efficient procedures that support customer services.
Provides leadership and guidance to department flight crews ensuring safety standards and performance are maintained to the highest level.
Assume primary responsibility for the safety of the passengers, crewmembers, cargo, and the aircraft should the PIC become incapacitated or unable to perform his/her duties.
Provide excellent customer service to passengers.
Comply with schedules and other directives governing the aircraft’s operation.
Ensure that the aircraft is clean and prepared for flight with all provisions on board for the safety and comfort of the passengers.
Review thoroughly and brief the PIC specifically on all customer service items including, but not limited to, passenger pick up, passenger drop off, refueling, customs, private hangar pick up/drop off private hangar communication requirements, and passenger catering.
Prepare flight plans considering factors such as altitude, terrain, weather, and navigational aids.
Study weather conditions at destination, en route, alternate airports and departure points.
Comply with all Federal Aviation Regulations, Company Operations Manual, Operations Specifications, Standard Operating Procedures, and Company Policies and Procedures.
Ensures the aircraft to which you are assigned is properly equipped and in compliance with the regulations of the FAA Standards.
Calculate and review the aircraft weight and balance, fuel on board and performance charts using all checklists necessary.
Supervise the first officer (second in command) in any duties necessary for the smooth, safe, and efficient operation of the aircraft.
Coordinate function of all crew members assigned to the flight.
Assist in making decisions necessary to start, delay, or cancel flights and deviate from planned route or destination when operating conditions dictate.
Maintain currency and efficiency on assigned aircraft.

Education / Work Experience:

High Diploma or GED required.
Active Passport is required.
Recent Flight Experience is required.
Ability to maintain confidential information is required.
Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) is a plus.
Class 1 FAA Flight Physical is required.
2,500 total flight time (minimum) is required.
Minimum 1,000 hours in multi-engine aircraft is required.
Minimum of 50 hours in make & model to be flown is required.
Turbo jet transport hours (800 hours) is required.
Aircraft specific training, as required.

Significant experience with Microsoft Office Software (i.e., Word, and particularly Excel) applications at an intermediate level.
