Compliance Lead

About the role

In this role you will provide assurance on compliance to regulations governing the storage, and retailing of petroleum products. You will be working with regulators to ensure all fuel systems are compliant with regard to environmental and consumer trade legislation. You will develop and manage biofuels exemption reporting and requests and ensure commitments are delivered. Provide assurance to the consumer business around health and safety training by providing regular updates on completion and overdue training. You will develop reporting trends to enable best practice standards for Viva Energy to achieve safe compliant and efficient operations across all platforms of the Consumer business.

About you

To be successful in this role you will have the following skills and experience;

Experienced in the use of HSSE techniques, such as, HEMP, accident investigation and auditing.

Experience in working with external stakeholders and government regulators

Experience in negotiating and influencing senior stakeholders internally and externally

Knowledge of legislation and compliance as it relates to petrol stations

Demonstrated capability in project management

Demonstrated ability to analyse data and report key findings

Ability to use Microsoft suite of products to develop trend and KPI reporting

Understanding of commercial impacts of regulatory compliance

Prior experience in preparation of business cases to support capital spend for compliance to regulation

Preferable to have experience/ exposure in retail petroleum operating environment
