An exciting opportunity exists for a Commercial Officer within the Business Aviation Customer Team. The role will be based in Reston, VA on local terms.
The Business Aviation group of customers are made up of a varied mix ranging from Airframer, Fleet Operator and Single Aircraft Operator as such they provide an interesting and diverse array of accounts.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the commercial aspects of day to day account management. This will involve providing functional and task support to the wider Business Aviation Commercial Team, Sales and Customer Business Team.

Managing customer queries and actions related to allocated accounts, as well as overseeing cash and debt related to specific contracts. Providing timely and accurate inputs into the financial forecasting process;
Assisting the Commercial Manager in resolving major customer issues and contractual disputes;
Assisting the Commercial Manager in identifying and assessing potential risks and liabilities inherent in contracts and to proposing and negotiating amendments to manage, minimise or mitigate such risks or liabilities whilst achieving expected financial returns;
Interfacing with specialist departments within the company to obtain advice and guidance. Evaluating such advice and developing pragmatic solutions to meet customer and business requirements;
Ensuring delivery of relevant team objectives in line with the Business Plan Deployment, while demonstrating compliance with the Commercial Function and business policies and procedures; and
Completing business approvals in accordance with applicable business policies and procedures; purchase order management, as well as invoicing and raising credit notes; and ensuring key databases and reporting tools are accurate.
Bachelor’s Degree and 2+ years experience in negotiation and contracts, OR
Master’s Degree and 0+ years experience in negotiation and contracts, OR

Well-developed interpersonal, communication, influencing and negotiations skills.
Highly motivated and capable of working under own initiative.
Sound judgement and business acumen.
Proficient in all aspects of administration.
Ability to prioritise workloads to meet demanding deadlines.
Fluency in English written and spoken, knowledge of German would be of advantage
