About your Role

From take-off to landing, Thales offers the most complete range of solutions to provide dynamic air traffic control to support today’s growing domestic and international travel requirements. Utilising this knowledge and experience Thales Australia will deliver a harmonised Civil/Military Air Traffic Management System (CMATS) known as OneSKY, in Australia to Airservices Australia and Defence. This will enable a new level of safety and efficiency, while also reducing delays for the travelling public and providing opportunities to improve environmental outcomes. OneSKY will transform Australia’s sky and we are proud to be partners in its delivery.

As a CMATS Air Traffic Control Instructor, you will work within the technical training team, providing specialist technical training analysis, course development and training delivery for the OneSKY Program.

Key Responsibilities

Conducting assessments on future required training (i.e. Training Needs Analysis)

Developing curriculum and training materials to satisfy the outcome of these assessments

Delivering technical training, including on-the-job (OJT) training

Providing technical training advice to the OneSKY program

Working to budget, quality and schedule requirements

How about You

Qualified in workplace training and assessment (TAE40116 or similar or higher) and have a qualification in a relevant field (e.g. Diploma of Electronics and Communications Engineering)

Experienced in delivering training, conducting workplace assessment and working as part of a team in complex, technology-based projects

Experienced in Air Traffic Management system maintenance highly desirable, or experience in Aviation electronics, or Military Electrical Technical experience

Experienced in performing software fault diagnosis and resolving operational or simulator system hardware and software issues in a time-critical environment

Experienced in providing on-going software and hardware maintenance including inspection, servicing and repair of operational (preferably air traffic management or other aviation) systems

Experienced in working within the Unix/Linux Operating System environment

Special Requirements

Due to the nature of the work with OneSKY you must be eligible for a defence security clearance and as such only Australian citizens are able to apply. This role will involve some domestic travel.
