Claims Examiner – Temporary Job at Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty in Toronto, ON

Claims handler position with 2-3 years experience. The incumbent is responsible for the investigation, evaluation, negotiation and resolution of low to medium complexity and value claim files that may involve litigation. The position requires analytical, decision making and resource management skills. This position also requires some marketing and public relations activities.

Changing insurance regulation environment, reserve management, vendor management, adaptation to new case and legislative laws.

##Responsible for directing and/or performing investigation, evaluation, negotiation and disposition of Property & Entertainment claims. Successful accomplishment requires innovative, cost effective strategies and administrative skills to achieve optimum resolution.

##Responsible for assigned claims involving low to moderate value and complexity.

##Responsible for managing a select number of accounts for Allianz, which requires awareness of the client’s needs in light of the risk environment which may affect the client.

##Develop proper claim handling procedures to include input from underwriters, brokers and insureds.

##Provision of claim status reports to brokers or other pertinent parties to the claim loss.

##Manage claim reserves, adequately establishing reserves within Company standards and review periodically as circumstances dictate.

##Bachelor Degree: College degree or equivalent work experience

##Certification: Insurance related education – IIA, CPCU, Associate in Claims, Claims Law

##Minimum of 2-3 years in a Claims department performing Claims related function(s)

##Ideal experience, though not required: Account audit participation

##Claims handling, including investigation, evaluation, negotiation, and disposition.
