Job DescriptionSUMMARY:It is the responsibility of the Chef to oversee all food preparation and kitchen service in Claim Jumper. Responsible for the normal flow of operations on every work shift. This position must also exhibit a high level of professional and personalized guest service that embodies the Company’s brand standard and core values (K.E.E.P. – Kindness, Engagement, Empathy and Positivity).
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Monitors overtime, staff motivation. Oversee Product consistency and make necessary modifications according to business needs. Monitors waste and over production, utilizes leftovers, ensures proper rotation and quality control.
Monitors training of new employees to help them achieve higher status.
Monitor and enforce Company & Departmental Safety policies and Health Department Standards and all other applicable.
Responsible for various clerical duties regarding staff and kitchen operations, i.e. Payroll and Staff Files, Vacation planning, etc.
Responsible for monitoring food cost for their outlet, and order of all foodstuffs.
Responsible for maintaining the overall cleanliness and equipment maintenance of their areas.
Oversees all Kitchen related activities pertaining to the normal operation of the Restaurant, Menu & Staff.
Creating New Daily Specials and Soups.
Coordinates service of food with Claim Jumper Dining Room, Room Service, Coffee Cart, Aviation & Pool Snack Bar (in season).
Minimum Five (5) years experience in related culinary field. Must be able to read, write, understand English. Math and computer skills as well as a knowledge on use of related Kitchen Equipment and Knife Skills are required.
EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s or related degree preferred
5 years experience.
Minimum age requirement is 21
