Job DescriptionBuyer – Strategic ProcurementRemote Working OpportunityAs a Buyer, you will develop and implement global external supplier and commodity strategies that will drive long-term improvements in quality, cost and delivery, with engagement and support of key stakeholders so as to enhance competitive and commercial performance of Rolls-Royce, its customers and suppliers. You will also operate within the supply chain management team/purchasing team across the full product/service life cycle, ensuring supplier commercial issues are resolved effectively and efficiently.

Support and/or lead key contract negotiations, including completing costs analyses and negotiations on terms and conditions
Responsible for strategic sourcing of new products and identifying the optimal commercial route to achieve best cost and lowest risk
Managing work queue, including the sourcing of parts/services, raising and management of purchase documents
Supplier Relationships – Where designated, responsible for the development and maintenance of a strategic relationship with partners and suppliers.
Cost reduction / cost management to support the companies cost targets
Support and/or lead development and execution of commodity strategies, responsible for understanding key supply market intelligence for the relevant commodities
Associate degree with 2+ years of operational, procurement or logistical experience, OR
Bachelor’s degree, OR
Master’s degree, OR
4+ years of operational, procurement or logistical experience in lieu of a degree
The ability to think strategically and drive the purchasing agenda with suppliers to deliver value and quality to the business
Relevant experience in a similar role taking the lead with suppliers to negotiate contracts for products or services
Adept with technical knowledge
Purchasing experience in a global environment
Project management experience
Contract drafting and commercial acumen
Previous procurement for government experience
