Avionics Manager Job at Stevens Aerospace – in Smyrna, TN

Avionics Manager): The primary technical department operations manager for regulatory, IPM, production management and P&L compliance. Will recruit, recommend for hire, and train employees to mee the needs of the department. In addition, a DM may often be called upon to perform as a CPM for a specific project or customer need when work loads or conditions dictate. When assigned as a CPM they will assume all the responsibilities and accountabilities of the CPM function. The DM will report to the Director- Turbo Prop Maintenance.

Responsibilities:

· Primary Technical Department Manger supporting a specific function or product

· Responsible for Operations, Environmental, Regulatory and Safety compliance

· Review and provide data to support sales proposal generation

· Assign work crews and Crew Leaders

· Conduct a post maintenance team and customer debriefing

· Select and recommend training for all assigned personnel

· Provide annual performance reviews for all assigned personnel

· Manage work orders and invoices to acceptable company standards

· Manage time recordation and work order systems

· Ensure maintenance is performed in accordance with the Repair Station IPM

· Recruitment and recommend hiring of technical department personnel

· Develop the Master Training plan for all assigned department personnel

· Responsible for deportment scheduling and labor team assignments

· Recommend employees for rewards and recognition programs

· Manage vendor/ ASC relationships and the warranty adjudication process

· Coordinate all OEM, Regulatory, and Tech data requirements

· Mange all assigned in process workflow

· Supply data required by the Scheduling and Balog Report System

Accountability:

  • Budget and fiscal compliance to the company budget
  • Manage Department P&L for both expense control and growth opportunities
  • Cooperatively assign manpower to meet Program and customer expectation
  • Comply with all Local, State and Federal Laws and regulation
  • Satisfactorily Manage Vendor/ ASC relationships and compliance
  • Comply with all the procedures and provision of Repair Station IPM

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $95,000.00 – $105,000.00 per year
