Aviation Regulatory Analyst

As a key member of Matternet’s regulatory group, you’ll be responsible for contributing to Matternet’s regulatory work in the US. In this role, you’ll be responsible for key tasks related to Type Certification and Production Certification, as well as gaining approvals to operate in new locations. Other responsibilities include following regulatory trends and developments and anticipating their effects on Matternet’s operations, as well as participating in regulatory and standards-making bodies.

You will:
Work with Matternet’s Head of Regulatory Strategy to implement Matternet’s regulatory work in the US

Act as a liaison between the Regulatory group and other functions at Matternet such as Engineering and Flight Test

Prepare regulatory submissions and gain regulatory approval for new operational locations

Maintain documentation in accordance and consistent with our global strategy

Willingness to work hard and take direction and also anticipate problems and their solutions without explicit guidance

In the first 30 days, you will get to know the team and get up to speed with the Matternet system.

In the first 60 days, you will take ownership of a number of tasks and develop a plan for completion.

In the first 90 days, you’ll likely deliver at least one of the tasks and get a sense of what the next 6 – 12 months will look like.

Requirements

5 – 10 years experience with aviation regulatory work

Strong written and verbal communication skills, including proficiency with MS Word and the Google suite of applications

Be able to work well with others in a diverse work environment

The ability to visit Matternet HQ in Mountain View at least a few days each month

Other aviation experience (manned or unmanned) a strong plus
