QUALITY ASSURANCE MANAGER
Position Summary:
Responsible for implementing, managing and enforcing quality policies and procedures. Manage and control the operations and personnel engaged in the performance of quality department activities to ensure safe, compliant and quality products are delivered by the company. Ensure policies, procedures and practices are consistent and compliant with US and international regulatory requirements to attain and sustain Repair Station business commitments.
Responsibilities:
1. Ensure the Repair Station is in compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements and manufacturers’ specifications to assure all maintenance, repair work, or manufacturing is performed in accordance with applicable data and regulatory requirements.
2. Thoroughly understand applicable Federal Aviation Regulations, EASA regulations, product specifications, type certification data, and airworthiness directives. Specifically Parts 21, 39, 43, 65, 120, 121, 125, 135, and 145
3. Liaise with customers, FAA or DCMA for inspections, audits or quality issues.
4. Participate in the creation, submittal and maintenance of DER repairs and PMAs.
5. Maintain: a.) roster of management, supervisory, and inspection personnel. b.) repair station capability list. c.) repair station manual, d.) quality control manual. e.) EASA supplement, f.) forms manual, g.) NDT manual.
6. Assist, supervise, and direct all personnel assigned to the Inspection Department and ensure that all inspections are properly performed and that the proper inspection records, reports, and forms are used.
7. Insure Non-Destructive Inspection personnel are trained and meet the requirements of the NDT program. Ensure required equipment is available and provided to ensure accurate inspection results.
8. Ensure that all required technical data is available for use, maintained in good condition, and revision status kept current. Includes maintenance of the technical data database.
9. Assure that all inspection tools and test equipment are tested and calibrated per the calibration program. Further assure that a current record of these tests and/or calibrations are properly maintained.
10. Administer the internal audit program to ensure compliance with customer, regulatory, and repair station requirements.
11. Administer and maintain the corrective action program.
12. Develop, maintain, and administer the repair stations training, safety, certification, and drug/alcohol programs.
13. Responsible for product certification utilizing FAA Form 337, form 8130-3, or a certificate of conformance.
14. Provide for inspection and acceptance of all incoming material, including new parts, and articles on which work has been performed outside the repair station.
15. Maintain files of completed work orders and inspection forms in such a manner that the file pertaining to a specific item repaired can be readily located for review.
16. Conduct subcontractor audits and capability surveys to ensure they are producing goods and services in accordance with requirements and specifications. Develop criteria and procedures for the surveys.
Experience/Education Required: Must have an A&P License with a minimum of 5 years quality assurance management experience in a FAA Repair Station or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required. Above average Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Project skills and a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Access is required. A minimum of five years technical experience within a Part 145 Repair Station involved in the maintenance of gas turbines and related accessories and components preferred. Experience with component repair by welding, machining, grinding, balancing, etc. a plus.

Salary: $75,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
