Garver’s in-house Business Development Team is expanding and looking for an engaging, and motivated
Marketing Pursuits Leader with strong marketing, and communication skills to support our Aviation project leaders in pipelining and capturing must-win, strategic pursuits.

This position will work with our aviation project pursuit leaders and business development team from initial identification of a strategic key pursuit, through pipelining, until RFQ release.

The ideal candidate will have a strong sense of team camaraderie, the ability to lead, coach and think strategically, the ability to multi-task, and know how to prioritize duties to meet deadlines.

This position will report to our Aviation Business Development Manager and work closely with our aviation project leaders and business development team to execute pursuit plans.

Core responsibilities:

Participate/Facilitate Strategy Sessions – Lead pursuit teams through Garver Aviation’s formal pursuit pipelining planning process on identified strategic pursuits.
Identify and Refine Strategic Messaging – Work with pursuit teams to develop and refine differentiators, value propositions, and key messaging for pursuits.
Develop Actionable, Client-Focused Initiatives – Collaborate with key strategic pursuit/project leaders to create a win plan and provide support on timely execution of pursuit initiatives throughout the pipelining process.
Develop client presentations and pipelining marketing material – Collaborate with project team leaders and Aviation Graphics Team to develop and conduct quality control document checks on pre-RFQ marketing material.
Support Targeted Campaigns – Collaborate with our Client Communications and Engagement Lead to drive and develop customized content for targeted external campaigns, and client marketing.
Support Strategic Data Collection – Collaborate with our Aviation Business Development Analyst to research and organize CIP data, funding information, past selection information, and external subconsultant data for key strategic pursuits.
Transfer of Strategic Messaging – Upon RFQ release, deliver all key messaging and strategic win theme differentiators developed during pipelining to our marketing team for integration into statement of qualifications, proposals, and interview presentations.
Provide Mentorship – Collaborate with project and regional administrators to educate them on the specific strategic research needs project/pursuit leaders may require for non-strategic pursuits.

Basic Requirements

Previous experience in the Architectural/Engineering/Construction (A/E/C) industry preferred

Bachelor’s degree (Advertising, Communications, Public Relations, Business, Journalism, English, Marketing, or a related field)
Proficient user of Microsoft Office, to include Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Excellent communication skills
5-10+ years of related experience

Preferred Skills

Highly experienced, creative leader with demonstrated record of success with A&E pursuits
Previous experience, background, or exposure to the aviation engineering industry
Previous experience executing must-win, pursuit pipeline planning process
Ability to think through methods and opportunities to communicate with a client as part of the pursuit capture process
Previous experience or working knowledge of the proposal preparation or large-document management process
Previous experience in customer relationship management (CRM) database management, Deltek Vision (or similar)
