We are looking for a motivated and safety-oriented person to be our full-time aviation manager. Applicants would have to live within 1 hour of Springville, Utah or be willing to relocate. The aviation manager is responsible for the supervision and coordination of all IMSAR flight operations. This includes managing pilots, observers, coordination and scheduling maintenance of fleet, ensuring the department complies with all FAR Part 91 regulations. This position is responsible to inform upper-level management about the flight operation status. Additional responsibilities include the certifications and upkeep of licenses of personnel and equipment, managing projects involving aircraft modifications in liaison with Designated Engineering Representatives and Designated Aeronautical Engineers.
Essential Functions:

Schedule pilots and personnel
Schedule aircraft maintenance
Maintain a deep relationship with our mechanic, airport management and regulatory agencies
Oversee the hangar and maintain the relationship with the land lord
Maintain records of certifications/recertification of all personnel
Teach and demonstrate aviation safety and aptitude training
Keep flight documentation and aircraft maintenance
Be available off-hours and holidays when necessary
Participate in occasional cross country product demonstration trips
Have the ability to fly high precision GPS guided tracks

Minimum Requirements:

BS degree preferably in Aviation Science
Professional aviator with management experience in aviation flying and aviation related activities
Commercial pilot ASEL (ATP Preferred)
CFI, CFII Preferred
2nd class medical (1st class medical preferred)
1000 hours flight hours PIC (preferred not required)
Must live within 70 miles of Springville, Utah

We need someone with the skills and experience required to help us with on-demand flights for aerial survey work. You will determine and ensure all flights are safe while following FAA requirements. We currently operate a fleet composed of three single engine piston aircraft that are very well maintained. You’ll be working with a talented team and a compelling product, and will have an opportunity to make a big difference for the company and for our customers who need the capabilities we can provide.
Work is primarily performed in an office environment or airport hangar. There will be flying associated with this position. Some light to moderate physical effort required. Regularly required to sit or stand, reach, bend and move about the facilities. Some travel may be required often with plenty of notice. Noise level in the work environment can reach moderate to loud. Must be able to lift and push 50 lbs in all weather conditions.
