Aviation Lead Job at WSP Australia – in Sydney NSW
National lead for the delivery of engineering services on the firm’s aviation-related projects across all business lines. Help to build, lead and grow a nationally recognised aviation delivery team that provides landside, airside, and terminal design services.
Main activities & responsibilities: (including but not limited to)
Implement systematic project reviews to ensure appropriate governance and to enable early identification of risks and opportunities.
Manage and monitor the technical quality of work performed by the team and promote a culture of technical excellence, value, and innovation within the team.
Mentor team members and peers through participation in the Mentoring Program.
Manage the scope and monitor multiple projects and contribute to pursuits and proposals of varying complexity and size.
Create productive, long-lasting, and profitable client relationships through disciplined CRM and client focussed project delivery.
What we’ll love about you:
Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Transportation, Mathematics or equivalent studies
Relevant licenses, cards, and training that meet client and legislative requirements. Ideally chartered status CPENG.
Expert in the field with broad experience in providing key technical expertise across a wide range of diverse and complex projects.
Highly competent in managing risk on substantial projects and in applying safety in design practices and processes.
Extensive experience in developing strong client relationships.
Proven ability in complying with applicable legislation, standards, guidelines, and project specifications.
Successfully established and led high-performing teams (including virtual and remote employees) that deliver sustainable and profitable business outcomes.
Growth mindset with the ability to recognise and seize opportunities.
Performance-driven and committed to challenging themselves to continually improve.
Willingness to contribute to developing the technical capability of others through knowledge transfer and mentoring.
Proven leadership abilities to foster strong Client relationships through performance. Balances innovation, quality, and technical excellence with delivery to timelines and cost.
