Global Air Charters is actively seeking highly motivated, customer orientated Director of Maintenance to join our growing team of leaders focused on safety, service, and operations.The essential responsibilities include but not limited to:· The Director of Maintenance must be qualified per 14 CFR Part 119.71 €. Director of Maintenance supervises all Global Air Charters maintenance personnel and maintenance operations.
· The DOM has the authority to hire and terminate maintenance personnel.
· The DOM is responsible for the management of the complete maintenance program in an efficient and satisfactory manner, including personnel, scheduling, and production.
· The DOM contributes to safety, reliability, and economy, by anticipating equipment problems, developing skilled employees, utilizing effective tools and procedures, and by a judicious use of contract personnel, equipment, and supplies.
· Responsible for maintenance personnel in the procedures, methods, and practices to be followed in each respective duty, and will ensure that all maintenance technicians will be adequately qualified prior to assigning them to any maintenance function.
· Responsible for maintaining all equipment, tools, and facilities in serviceable and working condition.
· Responsible for making available to all departments the necessary maintenance manuals, service bulletins, airworthiness directives, and any other required technical data.
· Responsible for all the necessary work recorded and filed by certified mechanics for the operation.
· Responsible for maintaining the premises of the repair facility in an orderly manner.
· Responsible for initiating requisitions for stock and material as required. Orders anticipated parts, lubricants, etc., in sufficient quantity to ensure no aircraft down time for these items.
· Overall responsibility for part handling and parts receiving.
· Manages the aircraft maintenance activities including overhaul, modifications, maintenance and repair of aircraft structure, engines, and accessories.
· Coordinates closely with maintenance contracting agencies when maintenance activities are being performed on and ensures airworthiness of company aircraft.
· Accountable for all expendable items.
· Maintains close liaison with personnel to provide current aircraft status and forecast down times.
· Determines personnel requirements based on present and projected workloads.
· Maintains weight and balance records of the aircraft.
· Review the maintenance status to include weight and balance currency of each company multi-engine aircraft.
· Complete and ensure that both MRR & MIS reports required by 14 CFR Part 135 are submitted.
· All maintenance forms and records are properly filled out and filed.
· Responsible for any additional maintenance requirements as listed in the Company Operations Specifications.
· Maintains each aircraft status form.
· Verifies that mechanic performing maintenance away from home base are qualified per Section 6 Paragraph 11.3.
· Maintains operational control for releasing aircraft for flights.
· Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.The ideal candidate must possess the following qualifications:· 5-10 years of experience as an aircraft mechanic, minimum of 5 years of specific aircraft type (Gulfstream required) with factory training, Airframe and Powerplant certificate required.
· 3-5 years’ experience in P135 and/or P145 operations.
· 3-5 years’ experience in management role.
· Excellent organization, prioritization, and coordination skills in a fast-paced environment.
· Creative problem resolution skills.
· The ability to develop and maintain long term relationships with internal and external customers.
· Excellent verbal and written skills.
· MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
· Must be accessible by phone 24/7 except on scheduled days off.
Must live or be willing to relocate to the Allentown, PA area.

Pay: $125,000.00 – $175,000.00 per year
