Automotive Supplier Quality Engineer

Automotive Supplier Quality Engineer:
TXT Group is looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer for the Automotive division of TXT e-solutions, part of our Group.

The Supplier Quality Engineer is in charge to:
Contribute to Company objectives and global Quality performance from the external suppliers;

Manage any Quality claim due to an external suppliers after SOP and guarantee that the problem is definitively solved;

Lead the change notifications during serial production.

Main responsibilities:
Agree with the requester to send the claim to the supplier or not via the Supplier Tables (Quick Response Quality Control – QRQC);

Ensure the implementation of the containment action at supplier site to protect plant and Customer;

Check and challenge the root cause, corrective actions efficiency and standardization, manage the problem solving cycle time from the external suppliers;

Launch the escalation process;

Lead the Controlled Shipping Level implementation and monitor the results until validation of effective corrective actions;

Ensure the experience capitalization and share best practices with the commodity organization;

Collect the non-quality costs, share them with the suppliers and ensure charge back to suppliers, once accepted;

Lead the Improvement programs of the worst suppliers at plant level;

On site visit at the suppliers to check the corrective actions efficiency to perform line review or Process Audit when relevant;

Accept the 8D report from the external suppliers and take care to share it with the requester;

Track the Supplier scorecard situation and lead the needed activity/ escalation in case of scorecard deviation Lead the change notifications during serial production;

Transfer internally the Produce Change Notification / Product Termination Notification coming from the external Suppliers ;

Support the internal functions in charge of the change Management;

Inform the suppliers on the classification and conclusion;

Provide the samples to the internal functions when required;

Execute the PPAP approval towards external suppliers after the internal approval.

Technical skills required:
Analytical skills, synthesis ability, reactive approach, teamwork and negotiation skills, ability to push, lead and challenge suppliers;

Knowledge and practice of quality tools: Failure Mode and Effect Analysis, Statistical Process Control , Process capabilities, Pareto, problem solving methods (8D, 5 Whys, Ishikawa, Fault Tree Analysis, experience capitalization, etc.), Measurement System Analysis;

Good knowledge of MS Office suites;

Travel availability (30–50%).

Degree: Bachelor degree or above in Industrial sectors (mechanical, electrical, materials engineering, Physics or equivalent, preferable in the area of his / her business).

The profile is completed by a good knowledge of the English language, strong communication and presentation skills, result orientation, excellent interpersonal skills.
