This position is for an entry-levelComponent Product Engineerfor the development, fabrication and test of rocket engine hardware (system interconnects, combustion devices, valves/actuators or rotating machinery hardware). This position will be located inWest Palm Beach, FL. This site operates on a 9/80 work schedule.

This current opening may be filled l as posted or l higher.

Under close supervision, the Associate Engineer determines approaches to objectives demonstrating a complete understanding and application of engineering principles, concepts and practices.

25% – Development and fabrication support of rocket engine components. Translates engineering and scientific concepts from preliminary ideas through product life cycle.

25% – Supplier integration with external vendors ensuing requirements are achieved on-time and within budget.

20% – Interface with other members of project or program teams, management and technical staff to provide coordination of technical, schedule and cost solutions to team objectives.

20% – Analyze and verify product design and performance for adequacy and reliability. Support investigation and resolution of hardware and process anomalies and issues identified by preventative action/corrective action boards or safety initiative activities.

10% – Develop specifications, trade studies, design concepts, systems integration and component-level test plans.

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience withliquid rocket propulsion systems desired.

Experience workingin an equivalent engineering design/development environment is desired.

Being fully vaccinated for COVID-19 is a condition of employment at Aerojet Rocketdyne. Proof of vaccination or an accommodation request approved by Aerojet Rocketdyne will be required prior to starting employment with the Company.

May be required to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance opriate level. Requires U.S. Citizenship, U.S. Permanent Residency or other status as a U.S. Person.
