Our Strategy & Transformation Solutions practice is a diverse team of experts that support our clients to tackle their biggest strategic challenges, providing transformational and sustainable value. We create customer-centric strategy and deliver transformation solutions across the infrastructure industry and emerging markets. Strategy & Transformation Solutions supports our clients on setting their vision and strategy for infrastructure delivery. The work we do includes change roadmaps and support, target operating models and organisation structures, organisational capability mapping, process optimisation, benefits management & realisation, people-centric PMO to support infrastructure delivery, options analysis for delivery models such as Project 13 / Enterprise and innovation strategy and design.

As an Associate Director within our Strategy & Transformation Solutions practice, your responsibilities will include:

Lead on project delivery (or a workstream within a larger programme of work) with accountability for project performance and management of the project team, scope and budget

Establish and foster relationships with clients and delivery partners

Manage client stakeholder relationships to ensure buy-in to an agreed solution

Lead on the development and delivery of high impact presentations to clients

Contribute to continued growth by identifying, developing and leading business development opportunities including bids, proposals, capability development

Provide leadership, coaching and guidance for junior staff

At Jacobs we operate a hybrid working model, and the role can be based at any of our London, Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol, Leeds, Glasgow or Edinburgh offices, combined with working from home.

Here’s What You’ll Need:
You’ll be a part of leadership in the Strategy & Transformation Solutions practice group and a role model and coach to junior staff. Clients are at the heart of everything you do, and you’ll demonstrate the ability to constructively challenge the accepted norms and always seek a better way. You’ll also have:

Significant experience leading teams (up to 5) on projects and workstreams on one or more of the following areas: Programme delivery models, transformation programmes, change management, strategy and vision, operating models, organisation design, PMO, benefits management, innovation, maturity assessments.

Consultancy experience in infrastructure or industrial sectors such as energy, rail, transit, highways, water & environment, climate response, aviation, defence, nuclear, ports and buildings

Knowledge and application of industry frameworks on programme delivery and transformation

Knowledge of government policy on and aspirations for the infrastructure sector and the challenges and drivers for UK infrastructure clients

Experience of developing and maintaining client and stakeholder relationships

Ability to engage & communicate with stakeholders at all levels where required

Experience working in a programme and/or project environment with multiple stakeholders and of operating in cross-business teams, including digitally enabled infrastructure programme
