We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an Assistant Underwriter to join our SMARTpak team in Auckland, where you will be supporting the SMARTpak Relationship Manager and a team of Underwriters. We are seeking a well organised person who can work collaboratively within the business, develop strong relationships with our broker clients and Managing Agency underwriters. The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to excellence in client service, administration and the drive to work as part of a high performing team.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Administrative duties and tasks as required
Responding to enquiries in a timely and professional manner
Developing and sharing knowledge of processes and procedures to strengthen our service delivery
Supporting QBEunderwriters and Managing Agency underwriters with new business and renewals
Positively contributing to the profitable growth of QBE’s portfolio
Relationship development with interal and external stakeholders
Ownership of and involvement in team projects as required
Your story so far
Relevant experience in the insurance industry is desirable but not necessary
Fundamental knowledge of Microsoft Suite and Outlook
An ability to prioritise tasks to meet deadlines
A passion for personal development
Excellent communication skills, problem-solving and process improvement experience
Relevant insurance or tertiary qualifications (desirable)
