Our client is an award- winning, authorized FAA Repair Station that sells, installs, and maintains avionics systems for general aviation aircraft, including business jets, turboprops and piston engine airplanes. They have served customers across the country and internationally since 1981, from its location in greater Nashville, Tennessee.

JOB SUMMARY

This full-time, non-exempt position requires a basic knowledge of aircraft cabinets and interior installations. The job includes varying amounts of parts replacements or repair, basic electrical system installation and general mechanical applications. Modifications, repair, refurbishment and fabrication of aircraft cabinets are primary functions. Job duties will vary each day and are designated by the Team Leader in charge of that project. May be required to work independently on occasion.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Perform general mechanical functions on aircraft cabinets and related systems. This shall include, but not be limited to items such as removal and installation of cabinets, modification, delaminating, veneering or fabrication of new cabinets.

Ability to perform minor modifications.

Perform daily turnover sheets.

Maintenance and repair of shop facility, equipment and tooling when required.

Cleanliness of shop and surroundings.

Work independently when required.

Any other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management

Education and Experience:
Required Experience: Minimum of two years of work experience in a general aviation aircraft modification/completion shop.

Required Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Education: College / university degree or two years of accredited schooling in aviation electronics.

Preferred Credential: Aircraft Electronics Technician (AET) Certificate by National Center for Aerospace and Transportation Technologies (NCATT).

Preferred Credential: FAA Mechanic / Repairman’s Certificate with Airframe and Powerplant Ratings.

Other Preferred Credential: FAA Licensed Pilot, preferably with an Instrument Rating.
