Position Purpose

Perform routine aircraft maintenance functions in accordance with applicable maintenance manuals.


Duties & Responsibilities*

Performs routine aircraft maintenance functions.
Assists with the maintenance of aircraft hydraulic systems.
Performs aircraft cleaning, corrosion prevention and treatment.
Assists in performing preventive maintenance inspections on aircraft and aircraft systems and subsystems.
Uses blueprints, schematics, technical drawings and manufacturers’ drawings and sketches in the performance of assigned duties.
Fabricates simple complexity sheet metal repair parts and patches.
Services ground support equipment. Performs preventive maintenance inspections on ground support equipment as directed.
Completes maintenance documentation accurately.

Minimum Qualifications*

High school diploma or equivalent General Educational Development (GED) certificate.
Must have two (-2) or more years of aircraft maintenance or equivalent experience.
Must demonstrate an operational knowledge of aircraft, aircraft systems, engines and component parts.
Must have knowledge of the proper use of hand tools in aircraft maintenance.
Must have knowledge of permanent fastener removal and installations such as rivets, hi-loks, hucks, etc.
Experience with drilling and reaming preferred.
Must demonstrate knowledge of aircraft structural repairs, modifications, and installations.
Valid Driver’s license required.
Must be able to attain and maintain a TSA/Homeland Airport Security Ramp Access Pass.
Must be able to pass a National Agency and Inquiries (NACI) background investigation.
