Position Title: QA Inspector

Salary: $35-40/hr

Position Summary

The QA Inspector, under the direct supervision of the QA Manager, is responsible for returning aircraft to service while verifying all aircraft work is completed in accordance with specified manuals, procedures and FAA regulations. Inspector would need to have experience working in 135 Charter and 145 Repair Station atmosphere.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

Making sure that all entries on the maintenance forms and work orders used by the Repair Station are properly executed

Inspecting all completed work and making sure that inspection/maintenance records, reports, and forms are completed prior to releasing the product for return to service

Submitting reports on defects or un-airworthy condition in accordance with FAR 145.63

Ensuring that all maintenance actions are properly documented in the aircraft records

Verifying that final acceptance inspection of all incoming material, including new parts, supplies, and outside work is performed to ensure airworthiness

Ensuring proper performance and documentation of preliminary, hidden damage, in-progress, and final inspections

Overseeing the proper tagging and identification of all parts and components

Overseeing disposition of rejected/unserviceable parts

Training and assisting technicians to properly service, clean, inspect, modify, repair, and maintain assigned aircraft, engines, and accessories

Ensuring that reference material used is up to date

Qualifications for Aircraft Quality Assurance Inspector

Knowledge, Training, and Experience

High School education, or equivalent

A&P with IA required

Experience with General Aviation Maintenance Shop (Pilatus, Citation and Piper preferred)

Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in a detail-oriented maintenance environment

Experience in a Part 145 facility serving corporate aircraft

Knowledge of FAA regulations

Must be authorized to work in the United States and pass a Drug/Alcohol test and pass a background check

Skills, Abilities and Personal Characteristics

Effective oral and written communication skills

Demonstrated attention to detail and problem solving/analytical abilities

Ability to work independently and execute projects with limited supervision

Good organizational skills and ability to get along with all associates

Good computer skills with a working knowledge of the Microsoft Office family of software and an understanding of databases.
