Aircraft Painter

Job Title: Aircraft Painter

• Responsible to support and participate in the Ace Aeronautics QMS
• Safely perform aircraft preparation, painting, and detailing of aircraft under minimal supervision.
• Coordinate to ensure compliance with internal and external requirements, signoffs and quality specifications.
• Promote high standards of quality through instruction and by setting a good example for other painters to follow.
• Follow standard operating procedures when using tools and equipment
• Properly care for and maintain shop equipment and tools.
• Follow standard operating procedures when using sealants, paint strippers and corrosion-preventive chemicals and use protective equipment as required.
• Comply with safety rules and procedures and be alert for unsafe conditions.
• Address unsafe conditions before putting people or property at risk.
• Assist with aircraft movement in hangars.
• Offer continuous improvement ideas/participate in continuous improvement activities.
• Extensive Knowledge in Painting, Blasting, Corrective action on fixing corrosion, FAA requirements, Training and documentation, Masking for blasting (FAA requirement), EPA requirements, Layout and reading prints (drawings)
• Perform other duties as required.

Basic Skills and Competency Requirements Preferred:

• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Four (4) years’ experience in related paint processes.
• Aircraft industry experience preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of paint processes and products (lacquers, enamels, epoxies, urethanes, and acrylics) is necessary.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 – $29.00 per hour
