Description:This position is part of the ICS Maintenance Team for the F-35, VMFAT-501 at MCAS Beaufort South Carolina and will be responsible for issuing tools, support equipment, receiving back and controlling assets.
Working level knowledge of common tool room and supply warehouse procedures. Thorough understanding of the Marine Corps Hazardous Material Management required. Must be knowledgeable of Tool Control, METCAL, FOD, Supply, and HAZMAT programs. Possess an ability to work in a diverse/integrated multi shift work environment.
Working level of understanding in the use of barcodes, barcode readers and calibration decals. Must possess the ability to assemble and arrange tool kits. Possess the ability to perform periodic inspections and minor maintenance of support equipment and tools. Must possess a valid drivers’ license. Must have or be able to obtain an interim Secret Security Clearance within a reasonable time.
Must be able to work a Flexible Shift Schedule.
Additional duties and related responsibilities will be assigned as required.
Physical Requirements: Regularly required to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive movements, work overhead, use hands to grasp, handle, and/or feel, reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, squat, crawl, and twist.
Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Must have 3 years previous experience working in aviation maintenance unit or warehouse, tool crib or tool room.
Experience working on Tool Control, FOD, and Supply programs.
Must possess a valid drivers’ license.
F-35 aircraft or Fifth Generation aircraft maintenance, ALIS/LSIMS experience.
Understanding level of Material Safety Data Sheets.
Must be possess the ability to assemble and arrange tool kits.
Thorough understanding of the Marine Corps Hazardous Material Management required.
Possess the ability to perform periodic inspections and minor maintenance of support equipment and tools.
