Responsibilities for Aviation Aircraft Maintenance Manager (AMM)

Sets strategic goals and support objectives
Drive cost savings by identifying efficiencies in the planning of scheduled aircraft maintenance
Provide exemplary service
Provide superior technical leadership
Forge strong supporting vendor and supplier relationships including but not limited thome base Airport, Gulfstream and JSSI
Review and maintain approved vendor and supplier list
Provide insightful focus on cost control and budgeting, as well as developing and managing vendor relationships where appropriate
Develop, revise and implement policies and procedures to establish standards throughout hangar facility
Ensure strict adherence across all maintenance functions with every applicable OEM standard practice and procedure, company manual and policies, as well as all applicable rules, regulations and policies of the FAA
Mandate timely corrective action for any non-compliance.
Provide analysis and advice to the Director of Aviation with regards to strategic issues as it relates to maintenance operations and material cost control
Work with Director of Aviation in scheduling all maintenance actions

Qualifications and requirements for Aviation Maintenance Manager (AMM)

Must hold an FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license
Must have recent technical experience with maintaining Gulfstream G550 aircraft
FlightSafety G550 initial, recurrent or troubleshooting courses are preferred.
G550 run / taxi qualified
Extensive knowledge of Gulfstream CMP computer system and maintenance tracking system
Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record
Be authorized to work in the United States and able to travel in and out of the United States
Serve as primary maintenance point-of-contact in communications, coordinating, and follow-up for items such as time / labor / material quotes, preliminary invoice review, progress updates, approval and debrief on work packages, resolution of squawks, and warranty issues
Able to pass a required 10-year work history review and submit to criminal history records check
Must understand, read, and write English
Must pass a Trego aptitude assessment
Possess strong leadership, interpersonal and organizational skills
Must have well-developed people skills and ability to work with a variety of personalities
Able to coordinate multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Able to handle interruptions and a fast-paced environment
Maintain strong attention to detail
Be self-motivated and able to motivate others

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal delivered with tact and professionalism

Be able to analyze the Company’s maintenance schedule, communicate the findings to the Director of Aviation, and use the data to drive positive, meaningful change statistically and financially
Be able to communicate maintenance information and recommendations to non-technical personnel in an informative manner
Ability to work in a safe professional manner adhering to all regulatory requirements
