Are you a demonstrably skilled painter with interest or experience in the aerospace industry? Vartan Aviation Group is an aircraft product support service provider and currently looking to hire aircraft interior mechanics.
We are looking for employees with demonstrable mechanical aptitude to work at our Mobile, AL location, where we provide support to all the big names in the aerospace industry. The job entails paint and mechanical work on galleys, lavatories, closets, overhead bins, passenger seats and composite parts.

Expected skill set:

Minimum educational requirement: Associate’s Degree or equivalent job training
Technical/mechanical background such as A&P mechanic, automotive mechanic, cabinetmaking, or comparable experience
Willingness to travel
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Work experience that demonstrates longevity and commitment.

Be reliable and able to work independently and/or with a team in accordance with drawings and work instructions
Must speak and write English proficiently

Description of tasks the jobholder has to adhere to independently:

Communicate and correspond both orally and in writing with suppliers and customers in a polite and professional manner
Carry out mechanical and cosmetic reworks of non-conformities, adjustments, replacements, calibrations, modifications, prep work/paint.
Read and comprehend rework instructions and specifications.
Perform reworks from start to finish IAW customer specifications.
Mix materials appropriately per technical data. Use digital scales or graduated mixing cups as required per technical data i.e mix by weight or volume)
Fill and sand surfaces to ensure smooth finish
Airbrush metal and composite structures on highly visible products
Document reworks (Mix ratio, temperature, humidity, etc using scales and data logger)
Clean/maintain paint booth and provided paint gun

Physical Requirements include but not limited to:

Must be able to walk and stand on concrete for long periods of time. This includes walking rapidly from one job assignment to another
Must be able to work more than 8-hour shift if needed
Must be able to bend, kneel, crawl and/or climb stairs at any time as required for job assignments
Must be able to use hand tools as required
