Description: Seeking a full-time, qualified Aircraft Inspector in the Southwest Florida area.
This is a “hands on” position. The Inspector will approve maintenance and repairs on articles listed on the repair stations approved capabilities listing.
Ensures that all maintenance and alterations performed by this repair station are in accordance with the Ratings and Operations Specifications of the FAA 145 repair station.
Ensures that all housing, facilities, equipment, materials and data meet the applicable requirements for the certificate and ratings of this Repair Station.
Trains, directs, and assists all personnel performing work under the repair station certificate as directed by the Director of Maintenance.
Determines equivalency of tools and equipment used by the repair station and documents that determination.
Ensures all inspectors are thoroughly familiar with the inspection methods, techniques, aids, tools and equipment used within their assigned area of responsibility.
Ensures appropriate calibrations and checks are made on the tools and equipment used by the repair station
Manages all Continuous Improvement efforts on behalf of the repair station as directed by the Director of Maintenance
Communicates as needed with internal & external customers and the FAA as required.
Reports any identified risks associated with the repair station
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED plus relevant certifications required at the minimum.
Experience working in an FAA Repair Station that follows and complies with FAA 145 Ratings and Operations Specifications.
Pursuant to Federal Aviation Administration regulations candidates appointed to positions in this classification will be required to possess a FAA Airframe and Powerplant Mechanics License with current FAA Inspection Authorization.
A minimum of 5 years of inspection experience.
Experience working with Embraer, Cessna, Bombardier and Twin Commander aircraft
Must have a thorough understanding of the applicable Federal Aviation Regulations, as well as inspection methods, techniques, and equipment used to determine the quality or airworthiness of an article undergoing maintenance, repair or alterations.
Proven track record of consistent performance while delivering high levels of customer service to internal and external customers is required.
Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to professionally communicate with customers.
Proven ability to lead and manage others effectively while remaining calm under stress.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
