Aircraft Inspector I Job at Sierra Nevada Corporation – 3.6 in Hagerstown, MD

As an Aircraft Inspector I, you will be assisting with and learning to inspect our aircraft, aircraft systems, equipment, and parts to ensure airworthiness and conformance to the manufacturer’s specifications and government regulations. You’ll support inspection planning, inspection prep, inspection paperwork, inspection metrics, audits, in-process inspections, and help identify any breach of standards for airworthiness.

Must-haves:
High school diploma or GED equivalent

A higher level degree may substitute for experience

Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education

Basic Microsoft Office Suite skills (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel)

The ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance is required. Learn more about the background check process for Security Clearances

Preferred:
Active, current Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant certification and Inspection Authorization (IA) Designation

Exposure to aviation maintenance and/or inspection operations processes and procedures

Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military
