Our clients require support to produce communications plans, policies, processes, service levels and work instructions covering a range of technical areas such as information technology, security, safety, cyber security, enterprise systems and business infrastructure.

These products must address a broad range of users, spanning technical and non-technical audiences and include applicable standards, legislation, guidance, and procedures which support implementation and compliance.

Your Purpose:
Working with clients to figure out where we can help.

Identify and engage with appropriate stakeholders to assess requirements and produce new research and thought-provoking material.

Review, update and write technical policy, communications plans, processes, service levels and work instructions.

Influence stakeholders to introduce appropriate best practice.

Overseeing or undertaking user research, data analysis and horizon scanning.

Collaborating across Atkins to gather thought leadership for integration into client facing work and white papers.

Working with markets and bid teams to shape tender responses and produce high quality content and documentation.

Developing your own knowledge and understanding of consulting skills and client markets, whilst supporting the development of others in the team around you.

What can you bring?

Articulate with a passion for supporting and driving digital change.

Persuasive and politically astute; able to collaborate with and positively influence stakeholders

Strategic enterprise and business awareness; able to identify a client’s strategic intent and create enabling products.

Analytical ability to collate, structure and organise data to draw key insights.

Technical, service or business analysis, technical research, legislation and standards research.

Stakeholder and relationship management (including facilitation of workshops /discussions).

Editing and proofreading documentation.

Planning and research; drawing on academia, public and private sector best practice, legislative standards, and futures thought leadership studies.

Additional experience that would be beneficial:
Proven technical acumen in some of the relevant subject matter areas.

Information Technology.




Systems Infrastructure Business enterprise.

Commercial Financial Legal.

Familiarity with key frameworks or standards related to subject matter area (i.e. NIST & ISO 27001 applicable to cyber security, JSP 440 & JSP 601 applicable to Defence, ISO 9000 applicable to quality management systems).

Relevant technical qualifications.

Experience in a technical assurance or quality assurance.

Experience in research establishments.

Think tank experience.

Thought leadership.

Publications editing.
