Your role will involve:
The incumbent is guardian of the Certification & Operations Basis, Operations Safety Instructions and responsible for Aerodrome Safeguarding. Also, the development of the Management of the Airside Works Schedule, including Projects as well as the Aerodrome & Department Risk Register.

The Aerodrome Compliance Manager also owns a number keys relationships with NATS, Engineering, Solutions and the CAA. The relation with Solutions includes involvement in strategic Airside Projects to ensure an appropriate and compliant solution is delivered.

These skills are essential:
Experienced in Airside Operations and aerodrome operating requirements

Understand the regulatory environment under which Heathrow operates, and aware of relevant documentation, such as that produced by EASA, ICAO and the CAA

Be highly organised with good attention to detail

Strong leadership skills and ability to drive a high performing team

Resilient with ability to work in a challenging and complex environment

Sound analytical skills including the ability to interpret and present a range of quantitative and qualitative data, identifying trends in a meaningful way

Have excellent communication skills- written and verbal. Be able to compose effective and professional safety reports, regulatory documentation and safety cases

Ideally, you will also have:
Have a good understanding of aircraft safeguarding requirements at Heathrow

Be able to obtain and maintain an airside driving permit

Experience in a Project Management role

Working location

Agile working means that whilst Heathrow Airport is your contractual place of work, your role will dictate your working location. This means that you can work from home but will need to come to the airport for meetings, events and training at your own expense. Sometimes, you might need to come to the airport at short notice and therefore we require you to be based in the UK.
